Colour is the fastest mood-setter in a home. Warm neutrals — oatmeal, clay, soft stone — make rooms feel welcoming within seconds, while stark white can read as cold and unfinished in photographs.
We stage with a restrained base and one deliberate accent per home: a sage headboard wall, terracotta cushions, an ink-blue front door. The accent gives the listing memory; the neutrals give buyers permission to imagine their own things in place.
Be cautious with strong, personal colour. A vivid red dining room divides opinion exactly when you need consensus. If repainting everything is too much, repaint the hallway and the main bedroom — the two spaces that set the emotional tone of a viewing.
Confident buyers make confident offers. Colour, used calmly, is one of the cheapest ways to get them there.
